Florica Potra-Cionca, PA Physician Assistant

Florica is a physician assistant with 14.5 years of experience in the Orthopaedic Spine Surgery department at UC Irvine Medical Center. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Within her role as a physician assistant, Florica works closely with the spine-trainedOrthopaedic Surgeon, Dr. Nitin Bhatia, and assists in both the clinical and surgical settings.

During her Physician Assistant training at Riverside, Regional Medical Center, Florica completed clinical clerkships in internal medicine,orthopaedic surgery, general/vascular surgery, emergency medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, and dermatology..

In her spare time, she enjoys participating in charitable outreach, including the Rotary Club. Living in Northern Nevada, Florica is excited to enjoy the outdoors and be engaged in community affairs. "Community involvement is important to me," she reflects.

She received a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in exercise physiology with an emphasis in cardiopulmonary medicine and disease prevention. She completed his physician assistant training at the University of Utah in 1999. Her professional interests include adult medicine and chronic diseases. In his leisure time, Florica enjoys skiing, botany and travel. she is currently welcoming new patients and accepts most insurance plans.
