Dr Bhatia was very friendly, very professional and talked to me with great empathy, care, and respect and went though the images and expired the diagnosis in a way I could understand and his treatment recommendations were very thoroughly. Dr. Nitin Bhatia addressed all my questions and explained them well. I felt immediately that I was in very skilled and good hands. At UCI health in Costa Mesa - the entire staff was friendly and professional - at the front desk Sandra, X-Ray technician, physicians Nurse assistant Florenca and Nurse Arturo were are very helpful. The facility itself was very clean and the front office staff was very friendly and helpful to other patients as well. This was a great experience on all accounts - thank you!

Dr. Bhatia treated me with compassionate care and genuine understanding. He did a masterful surgery that helped aliviate pain from my chronic disabling neck condition. He has earned the title of chairman of the Dept. of Orthopedics at UCI and I am so happy to see him directing the bright future of Orthopedic Surgery at UCI. I wouldhighly recommend him to anyone without hesitation. Definitely a top doc in OC.

I had a previous back surgery in 2007 and was referred to Dr. Bhatia in December 2020 as i was in excruciating pain 24/7. He is the most compassionate and patient surgeon i have ever met. Dr. Bhatia performed my surgery in Jan 2021 as I needed a multilevel fusion, spacers, two areas of severe stenosis, and several other issues. I can say 3 months later I am pain free and I got my life back. The nerve pain in my foot, right leg and sciatic nerve on both sides is completely gone and I feel 20 years younger. You will find that Dr. Bhatia's staff is as kind and caring as he is; what a wonderful group of healthcare professionals. He takes a conservative approach and clearly outlines your options as a patient and is candid / honest. I couldn't be more pleased with the care i received from Dr. Bhatia, his staff, and the whole UCI team. His goal is clearly to improve your quality of life and he's genuinely as humble a man as you will ever meet; no ego ! Highly highly recommend.....

After many months of pain due to spondylolisthesis and 3 epidural injections, I decided to have back surgery. I was referred to Dr. Bhatia. He patiently explained my condition and the fusion procedure. I had visited 4 other orthopedic doctors but from the first moments I met Dr. Bhatia, I knew I found my surgeon. He is the best. it has been over two years since my back surgery and I feel great! no more pain and I can go hiking, to gym, swim, lift weighs... I highly recommend him.

An Angel is what he is!!! I'm a complicated case and have had two surgeries performed by Bhatia and he still wants me to check in with him. I am now seeing his partner Gupta regarding Scapula Winging and they both talk all the time and Doctor Bhatia is concerned about me and how I am doing. Both surgeries were a success and sadly I think I may need more in the future. But I know I have an Angel by my side... and his PA! Florica is the best. Stop looking, promise you he is worth the wait!

This man is my hero. I've had lumbar fusion surgery in 2009 And 2014. Without these two successful surgeries I would be living in constant pain. I would recommend him to anyone. A major plus is a wonderful personality and bedside matter.

As I write this review, I am 3.5 weeks out from surgery. I had a lumbar fusion of L4&5 with instrumentation and I'm doing very well. Starting with my first visit, for the purpose getting a second surgical opinion, I was very comfortable with Dr Bhatia and his staff. He took his time, made sure all my questions were answered and that I felt comfortable with the information provided. His surgical staff at UCI was and is amazing. There is no doubt as to why he has such an amazing reputation.

Dr Bhatia is an incredibly talented surgeon and an amazing gentleman. His staff is courtesy and professional. I would highly recommend him if spine surgery is needed.

Dr. Bhatia did such a fantastic job on my back, I was in so much pain with my slipped disc L4 L5 then L5 S1 and he was so helpful, kind, careful to explain everything to me! He really takes his time with you! Treats you amazingly! I really highly recommend dr. Bhatia for spine surgery and day of the week or weekend! I feel brand new no more pain down my leg, no more pain through my back!

After my fall the doctor, with 2 rods & 8 screws, repaired my shattered L3. In subsequent visits he has been very forthcoming explaining my injury and what I will expect in the healing process. He explained my pain would subside in about 4 months and was right-on. My pain level was about 0-1. I have NO pain now. Staff was very helpful during follow-up x-rays.

Dr. Lee is just the best Dr. That a person could have. He is very kind, explains everything takes his time to make sure you are understanding and answers all your questions. Goes over all your MRI's, X-rays and never rushes your decisions on Surgerys. He is the best Spinal specialist a person could ever have, I'm so blessed that he was highly recommend to me from a co-worker.

I just had my second surgery by Dr. Lee in five years. He is one of the best orthopedic surgeons I’ve ever met. I’ve had other surgeries on my back of which one, Dr. Lee had to repair. His knowledge is superior and his bedside manner is top notch. He listens to you and talks with you, not at you. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Yu-Po Lee if you needing any kind of back surgery. While UCI is a little bit more expensive, it’s worth every penny.

Dr Lee is what a doctor is supposed to be. He is kind, caring, passionate, and wise. Extremely knowledgeable in his field. Takes the time to check in on his patients. He took care of my mom, back to back lumbar surgeries on consecutive days. She is in recovery now and I can’t thank him enough. I wish him the best and I highly recommend him to help anyone in need of spinal surgery. Thank you Doc, you will be in my prayers every time I remember you for the rest of my life.

Dr. Lee is as close to perfect as a doctor can be. In 2010 I had Christopher Reeves' injury along with a fractured C-1, resulting from a car accident. Dr. Lee fused my neck (C-1 thru C-5). I have 2 rods and 10 screws, bone from my hip and cadaver bone in my neck stabilizing my spinal cord. I made a full recovery; I haven't had any pain or mobility issues. I even returned to my job 2 years after surgery, loading trucks at UPS! Its been 8 years since my surgery and I am still doing great, pain-free and still working at UPS. I can only turn my head 5% one way and 15% the other way but thats nothing compared to the alternative which was inevidible paralysis and eventual death. I know people who had only 2 vertabre fused who are in constant pain and on disability for the rest if their lives. I credit Dr. Lee with not just saving my life but making it possible for me to have a quality life. He cares, he's honest and surpasses all others in his field. I can't thank him enough!

The experience I have with Dr. Lee is damn near perfect, his bedside manner is beautiful, he truly cares about his patience, and he's always been there for me so I will not give him up for anything. I will travel across country a 100 miles to come see him. He is what they call a blessed doctor. With a heart of gold, thank you Dr. Lee... God Bless You, Always!

Dr. Yu-Po Lee is such a great Dr. He listens to everything you say, never rushes you out the door. He shows you your MRI and explains what's going on and what they need to do. He is so Patient and will not Rush you into surgery. If your looking for the best Dr. To fix your back he's the one.

Dr. Lee is a very caring doctor who always puts his patients first. I’m so happy he was highly referred to me by another Dr in his office. I’m at ease knowing he will be in charge of guiding me to better health. I highly recommend him also!

My Husband had Emergency back surgery with Dr Yu-P.O. Lee.. hands-down this physician, is the best I would give him 100 stars. He took very good care of my husband and the aftercare was wonderful as well. His staff was amazing kind courteous, caring, would definitely recommend this facility and the doctor. Wonderful place..

Dr Rosen diagnosed my problem on the first visit after Kaiser said “I was fine” for three miserable years! Thank you Dr Rosen for giving me my life back!

Dr. Rosen took his time to talk with me and help me. He had to completely review what a previous doctors surgery had been done to me. He took care of me when I had been turned down by others. I was walking the next day. Dr. Rosen has compassion and will help you with his team...they go above and beyond!
